ok internet friends, i need your help.

i have a friend who officially has a hella bad eating disorder. it's killing me. she's an amazing and strong person who is really talented and has so much opportunity.and although i'm pretty sure she's been toying with the idea for years,it got really bad. in the last few months it's spiralling. on the (only slightly) bright side, she's talking about it. posting on her own LJ . but it's in a bit of a proud way if that makes sense. (i'm sure you know what i'm talking about). she's living with her parents and taking effexor for anxiety and depression but i have suspicions that she isn't taking it or the purging is negating taking it.
i knew kids in high school that had ED but at least parents were legally in control at that point. my friend is in her mid 20's now i'm not sure what to do about it
after working in an addictions and mental health hospital, i've only peripherally had to deal with anything like this so i know logically that there isn't much i can do. but any input would be good.  her lj name is time she stopped (but without the spaces) if reading it will give you any insight.

i know a few people on here have dealth with this and may be able to share their knowledge. thanks so much guys.

also, this makes me glad i'm losing weight safely but also reminds me how easy it is for the best of us to slip

victories and dissapointments
so i weighed in at the gym on monday and had to leave a couple of days before posting due to incredible frustration. but there were good bits!!

good bits: the most long awaited NSV is mine! the towels at the gym fit all the way around me!!! thank goodness. i have been waiting a long time to not have a 4 inch gap in the side of my towel as i scuffle off to the shower.

in conclusion, to paraphrase the sunscreen song: remember the successes, forget the dissapointments. if you succed in doing this, tell me how.

i have been slacking on posting lately. after the discovery of sparkpeople.com most of my tracking and journaling went over there. i am building ideas around how to develop the growth of this journal.i should really xpost more of the things i write in communities so i don't have to dig as much to find them later.

i hope all is well with everyone. things here are lookin pretty hunky-dory. although i've hit the leaving-this-job-in-5-weeks-i-don't-care mode. i  just want it to be over so i can do something else

yesterday i just wasn't hungry. sometimes it happens

breakfast
coffee? yeah. not hungry

snack
brown rice

lunch
more leftover chili

snack
cottage cheese

dinner
yummiest wrap ever!
-HG squash fries
-avacado
-green and red pepers simmered in tomato


also, i totally walked another 4 miles and moved a bunch of furniture.

today is the same as always
breakfast
shredded blah blah blah

snack
cottage cheese and carrots

lunch
chili

snack
butter tart.
hells yes i did. and i loved every bite of it. there was a huge rainstorm that came out of nowhere and it was gorgeous and my bottom feels good and sore from the montser walk last night so it was a good time for a tart. 

goin to see a documentary tonight. possibly one about the story that the movie Alive was based on

crap. i wasn't at work yesterday so i didn't track in here. i forget what i ate... lets giver a try.

breakfast- i forget


lunch- veggie burger

dinner
home made fetticini alfredo with shrimp amd asparagus. i  think it was probably still reasonable points wise. but damn it was good.


snack- went and got a 2 pt fruit popsicle with that man and we went for a walk while we ate it.

dang. i forgot friday too.
Friday:
breakfast. same old same old.

snack.
coke. damnit.

lunch
picnic with a friend in the glorious sunshine. bad food
- half a spinach croissant
-half a crunchy cinnamon roll thing
-bottle of ting
-some dried mango
-tomato soup

dinner-
very small wrap with chicken and red peppers
carrots
sliced red peppers
2 pt cheesecake

then there was a terrible play followed by sangria and nachos.


Today:

breakfast
the usual shredded wheat milk protein banana deal

Lunch
tofu red pepper soup and lotsa carrots

snack
grapes grapes grapes

dinner
hungry girl chili cheese fries. god i love those things
